India is going to the Dogs

“India is going to the Dogs”

This is the thought that comes to my mind when I see India in a state of turmoil.

How does one overcomes bad governance if the only choice you have is between a dead sea and ocean. This very well depicts the scenario of Indian politics. Gone are the days when we had ‘real’ leaders who stood for the cause of the people and felt it was their responsibility to do so.

Today the scene at the Indian politics is an indifferent one. Every political party seems to have their own hidden agendas. Citizen’s needs are not a priority any more. The two major parties, the Congress and the BJP are branched out from the same stem fooling the people with different ideologies.

If you have been trailing the US elections, one could say that how much awareness is there among the US citizens about the policies that is followed by the candidates. No wonder that Joe the plumber was able to raise question on how the policies would impact him should they be in office. The same does not hold true for the Indian politics.

The voters in India have hardly any knowledge about the political party’s agenda and how their policies is going to make India move forward. I bet you are as clueless as I am.

The citizen’s rights are been rampantly violated without any stern action taken against the guilty. Be it the violence in Orissa, churches been damaged in Kerala or attacks on North Indians in Mumbai. What have our so called ‘representatives’ done to send out a strong message and stop such acts in the future?

Innocent people are being killed and many lose their faith in the judicial system during these times. It is through this fire that people are born to take revenge, an eye for an eye whom we all brand as ‘terrorists’. Who is responsible for creating them?

The country has been burning everywhere in the recent times. This surely shows India in a pathetic state where there is no political will to overcome this crisis. India is indeed going to the dogs.

This is sad but true. Too much optimism sometimes hurt. I am not a pessimist but there always remains a difficulty in choosing the proper leader. However, a few good leaders in our country are handcuffed to do anything as they are bound to the coalition Govt., Party interests...welfare state nonetheless has remained a dream. This is simply because the corruption and self interests have become priority for all and have deep roots in our democracy. Democracy sounds bewitching to me, I beg your pardon. Because, it never represents the power of people but of ”Demagogues”.

Politicians are the easiest whipping boys. But the question is; who puts them in the seat of power. Then, who is sending the country to dogs? We.

First things First. The doggies in the pix are very good.I think India should go to the doggies. At least they would take care of India more than doggies in human form. They would be more ”swamibhakta ” to their Motherland than who live in India but have their faith in foreign power.

Ab Thoda Hindi : Yehi Mudda Ek Baar Television Mein Utha Tha . Aur Mughein Acchi Tarah Yaad Hai Ki Ek Ganwar Si Dikhnein Waali Vridhha Mahila Ne Bade Gussein Mein Ek Badi Pate Ki Baat Kahi .Aur Wo Baat Ye Thi Ki Bhaiyaa Jab Sab Acchein Log LaatSaheb , Doctari Aur Engineering Ki Hi Padahai Karenge To Neta Kaun Banega.Phir To Neta Luchhein Aur Lafangein Hi Na Banengein.Aur Main Apni Taraf Se Jod Do To Phir Woh Banengein Jinke Paas Cambridge ya Oxford Ki Degree To Hogi Lekin Bhartiyata Kis Chidiya Ka Naam Hai Unhein Pata Hi Nahi Honga.

I hope it should be very clear to you that we reap what we come to sow.Ab Babool Ke Beej Bokar Aam Khane Ki Kalpana Na Hi Karein To Behtar Honga .

Jay,
I tend to agree with you completely. The irony is: the people who are responsible for creating terrorists are the very people who brand them as terrorists.

Jay,we are expecting from those leaders, who are creating problems.Only ”Goonda’s”[criminals] are entering into politics nowadays.Did you heard about Mr Mishra who was the winner of the popular show on leadership[organised by a top newspaper].He’s based in Banglore now and dont wants to discuss about politics.
